Hi Allissa, not only it's safe to take CoQ10 when trying to conceive, I highly recommend it because it aids in improving egg and sperm health and quality. The quality of the product you choose however and the appropriate dose is everything! Best of luck!

[continued]
What I can't seem to find out is whether it is safe to continue taking CO Q10, and at what dosage, during pregnancy should we be blessed with another chance of having a baby ( - FULL term & healthy, with G-D's help). There's conflicting info on the web (most info seems to indicate that it's best to stop taking or to take a much reduced dose if pregnant), and the drs in Israel don't seem to know. I was wondering what your opinion is, as your article explains that often there is an increased demand for nutrients. I don't want to continue if danger of a further miscarriage, but neither do I wish to cut off a nutrient that may make the difference of having a healthy baby.

Thanks Gabriela for your informative article on supplementation for fertility & during pregnancy. We found a private dr that seems to know more about supplements and dosages than the "family dr" (as GP is called in Israel) or the "ladies' dr" (as gynocologists are called). I'm taking an active B comple (in the active forms that the body can use straight away, and has the B vitamins including folic acid in conjunction with each other and in stronger doses than most over the counter supplements) that he prescribed that is only available from one chemist in Israel (he makes it as it is otherwise unavailable here), Vit C, Vit D (both my husband & I were both found to be deficient (even here in a land of sunshine where it doesn't rain 6 months of the year!). You recommended at least 150 mg CO Q!0 for females (as well as males) in your webinar a while back. I also read that CO Q10 (which is important for cell division) is often depleted after a miscarriage ( I've unfortunately experienced 2 this year), and I inquired with this dr who agreed that CO Q10 would be helpful I'm taking 100 mg 2x/day.
