The Cause of Missed Periods and Their Side Effect on Fertility

What is the cause of missed periods and the side effect on fertility? I missed my periods for almost 4 months now, and all the tests prove that I’m not pregnant. Please what is the solution because I am getting married in 2 months’ time? Thank you.

A: Well, it is a great question, there is literally a multitude of different things that can get in the way of one’s ability to actually keep a healthy and regular cycle.

What happens, generally speaking, is that hormonal imbalance and the balance in communication between the brain, the hypothalamus, and of course the ovaries.

The hypothalamus is the section of the brain that actually governs the communication between what goes on in the pituitary and the brain in general and the ovaries, and that’s basically what distinguishes and helps ovulation to actually happen at the time in the way that it needs to.

What happens is that if your cycles are irregular, there is often an imbalance in hormonal levels, but there are many other different reasons as to why that can happen as well.  To be honest even when it is to do with insulin resistance or polycystic ovarian syndrome or any other kind of communications interruption, generally speaking, it’s also to do with an imbalance in hormonal levels.

It can show up in many different ways and there are many different symptoms and things that happen.

Finding out what specifically is happening is going to be really important because for example if you think that you are not getting cycles because you have high androgens, it’s going to be a different type of treatment than if you think that you’re not having cycles because you have insulin resistance or you have diabetes or polycystic ovarian syndrome, or if your hypothalamus isn’t communicating properly with your ovaries.

Those are all different things that can happen, and the way which we would treat them is certainly going to change. Understanding that is going to be quite important because once you understand what the cause is, you’re much more likely and more able to create a solution that’s going to provide you the result that you want.

On a personal note, I’ve got PCOS. I have shared this many times before. Before I ever wanted to get pregnant with my first child, I ensured that I was doing everything that I possibly could. My cycles were very irregular. My husband also had a sperm problem, and I really wanted to make sure that I wasn’t going to have too many problems when I actually wanted to start trying to conceive.

I started taking my herbs and I started taking my nutrients, and I started eating well and balancing the way that I was doing things. It took me quite a few months to get things to normalize once again, but it did normalize. When I wanted to then actually start trying to conceive, I conceived at the first try with my son.

It is possible to take control of what’s going on for you and actually make a difference to what’s happening. It’s just a matter of actually understanding what are the things that are playing a role in stopping you from achieving the results that you want and then addressing them accordingly.

The other thing that happened to me recently as well is that after then I had my son, I wanted to get my cycles to be regular again. It took me about 6 months to get serious about it and to really kind of get things moving forward in the right direction. I’ve been quite healthy , but I was still eating too much sugar. My cycles as a result were still irregular.

Eventually I decided I said that I’m quitting sugar and I’m not going to eat anymore of it as I’ve got an irregular cycle. Literally, it took me one cycle for me to have normal regular ovulation and everything to work properly.

Sometimes looking at the simplest things can be a really powerful way of choosing your outcome as well. Finding out first and foremost why you’re not having cycles is definitely the number one criteria. Then of course doing whatever needs to be done in order to address that is what’s going to help you achieve the outcome that you are looking for.

Obviously going to see a specialist in this area is going to be the best way for you to find the solution. I’ve created a report The Number ONE Reason You Are Not Pregnant Yet And What You MUST Know To Beat The Odds! I think that for many women, it’s going to create or at least help you really understand what is getting in the way and how you can adjust and address what is happening to you and how to optimize your chances of creating the healthy baby of your dreams.
