Using DHEA and CoQ10 to Increase AMH and Reduce FSH
How can I increase AMH and decrease FSH, please? Are DHEA and CoQ10 worth pursuing for this purpose?
A: Look, the short answer is yes. DHEA and CoQ10 can certainly help to increase egg quality in certain cases.
There’s a reason why we don’t talk about supplementation in the #FertilityChallenge. That’s because every situation, every circumstance is completely different.
I don’t want to come in here and say to you that you need to take this supplement because it improves your fertility or you should take that supplement because it does whatever. I don’t talk about supplements in the #FertilityChallenge because I know that if I did that, I would be doing you a disservice because there are different types of supplements.
One thing that I will say for sure is this: the only thing that you ever want to get is practitioner-only products that are prescribed by a proper practitioner because anything that you buy on the shelf of a health food store or supermarket is not going to cut the mustard. It’s not going to do what it is that it needs to do, which is to give your body all of the most important building blocks that it needs for the optimization of your fertility.
Self-prescription is never something I recommend. That’s why again, I don’t talk about supplements on the Challenge because if I was to go and say to you, “Okay, you need to take CoQ10″ guess what’s going to happen? You’re going to go to the health food store or to the supermarket and buy what it is that you need. That is going to do you a disservice.
What I see often is people self-prescribing until finally they run out of time to have the outcome that they’re looking for. Because they feel that they were doing something, they felt that they were on the right path, they felt that because they were doing that, it was okay and therefore, they didn’t really need to go and see a practitioner and really get the proper support that they needed and they run out of time.
I don’t want that to happen to you. I don’t want you to be misguided in thinking that everything that you do in the Challenge is going to be enough because it’s not. You are going to need support and it maybe from us. It maybe from someone else, but you will need support. If you already knew how to handle the situation right now, you would have already done it. You wouldn’t have been infertile for 1, 2, 3, 10, or 11, or 20 years. You wouldn’t have experienced four or six miscarriages plus.
