Ingredients for Making Household Cleaners

My family has been making all of our household cleaners for years, using only 4-5 basic ingredients. Here’s our “recipe” list we keep hanging on the fridge.

Q: Which recipe is the best for cleaning shower screens?

A: I’ve had really good luck with just distilled white vinegar and water. But if you have any mildew issues, try adding a few drops of tea tree oil; it’s a natural anti fungal.

Q: Do you have something for shower and tile mold. I’ve bought a natural clove oil spray product for mold but it doesn’t seem to work

A: Tea tree oil is great for killing mold! Dilute it with water and spray it over the moldy surface and let it sit for 20-40 minutes then wipe with a sponge or damp towel.

Q: How much tea tree oil??

A: I use about 8-10 drops in about a cup of pure water when cleaning mold and mildew. A milder dilution ((3-5 drops)) also makes a really great mouthwash!
