Shift Work vs Quality Sleep

I work shifts. I have no consistency to my sleep pattern. It’s so hard. Meditation helps me though. It relaxes me and if I don’t hear the end of the meditation, I know that I fell asleep which is great.

A: Shift work is not great for fertility. I’m not going to lie. It’s not ideal. It’s much better to get a job that sometimes is less well paid to have a normal kind of day working situation than getting a job that is either a night job or a shift job if you can avoid it.

If you can’t avoid it you might want to take some melatonin or talk to your practitioner and see what they would recommend because it really is something that you do need to look into. Obviously having good sleep and good sleep quality is going to be vital but again I think you need to focus on the things that you can control within that circumstances.

You can control jobs and changing shifts and routines, but sometimes it might not be practical in the short term, so you need to work around that and just do the best that you can with what you’ve got right now.
