What treatment do you suggest for natural killer cells?
More and more, I’m seeing autoimmunity as an issue for couples trying to conceive and have healthy babies, particularly in regards to miscarriages. Natural killer cells and the fact that autoimmunity often causes one of the seven triggers of miscarriage means that they can cause miscarriages and ultimately cause an inability to conceive or even implantation to occur.
Sometimes, conception is not even the issue. It’s actually to do with the fact that the embryo is not able to implant and not able to keep the pregnancy to term as a result of that autoimmunity.
There’s a few things that you can do that are going to help to decrease autoimmunity altogether. Your going to avoid allergenic foods, things that are known to be allergens or things that you personally react to when you eat them.
Gluten and dairy are definitely part of that allergenic picture. I tell all of our patients who are going through our program to stop gluten and dairy because I know that even if they’re not particularly sensi
tive, if there’s any possibility of autoimmunity, stopping dairy and stopping gluten is going to have a positive impact for your body’s immune system.
Natural killer cells is just one part of that picture though.
In our treatment, we use a lot of herbs and nutrients. We make sure that we address autoimmunity in general, but we also have a few processes that we take couples through. We work with a couple of doctors in regards todoing some infusions that we have found get good positive results in regards to conception where natural killer cells and cytokines are actually been an issue.
We use a very comprehensive approach in regards to testing to make sure that we address all of the self-care aspects – all of the things that you can do and control about your own fertility.
In my professional opinion and experience it is nearly always a combination of “minor” factors that impact on a couples ability to get pregnant. Factors that we can help people identify, manage and overcome. The best way to learn more about what we do and how we help couples would be to join our Free #FertilityChallenges, which runs several time each year.
