Managing Stress and Emotions

When life is stressing you out, if you’re feeling anxious and stressed what is most important is to make sure that you find tools for relaxation and stress relief that are going to be productive, that are going to help you reduce your stress and the negative impact it has upon your fertility.

The last thing that we will want to hear when trying to get pregnant is that whole, “Oh, just relax and it will happen.” The reality is that for many people this advice is simply not what they need, simply relaxing doesn’t assure anyone that they can then get pregnant.

For example, smoking, drinking, doing drugs, all have a seriously detrimental impact on your fertility and your ability to actually create a healthy baby – having the healthiest possible egg, healthiest possible sperm – but they all happen generally as a way to cope with or manage stress.

In order to optimise your fertility you need to find new ways of recognising anxiety symptoms and coping and managing with stress so that you can have the clean lifestyle and environment you will need to act pregnant now to get pregnant later
